Tokiirotamago was launched in 2007 by the dancer/choreographer Mirei Yamagata. Before creating the company, she has performed her choreography in venues such as the Weisman Art Museum, ST SPOT, and die pratze, and as an actress she has performed for Pillsbury House Theater, Mixed Blood Theater, and Theater Mu in Minneapolis, MN. The piece for the Summer Summit 2008 will be the first piece she has choreographed for her own company Tokiirotamago. It is a duet piece expanded from Yamagata's solo "A Nice Relationship", which was performed for the Off Nibroll curator section at the Bank Art 1929 Kazuo Ohno Festival 2007. Through the eyes of the short story "One Arm", written by the Nobel Laureate Yasunari Kawabata, the piece will explore the path which connects daily life and the extraordinary world.
