Summer Summit 2007 2007.8.3 fri.-9.2 sun.

I wrote in the previous year's leaflet that I felt it was far more important how far artists could stretch themselves than where they stood in the present. Lately, I have come to question whether this stretch is a necessity. The end result can only ever be a remote possibility. An artist's expression may reach out far beyond their imagination, but we would never know if this was calculated or purely coincidental. We artists are half waiting anxiously for this possibility, as a spider waits for its prey to be caught in its web; half giving up, and ignoring this prospect. In the end, we blindly rely on the piece that we are faced with. Thus, we leave all for the audience to decide.
