kiricollage

[Play×Create×Dance]
is the concept for Kiricollage, a movement-based
dance company founded by Mikiko Suto and Haruna
Toyama in May 2007.
The company name "Kiricollage" was chosen
to represent its creative style: instantaneous composition
of situations using relationships between space
and body as elements for a collage.
Its workshops where, by shifting their point of
view on a situation, participants can experience
and learn to enjoy changes in the situation have
been well-received, and Kiricollage was selected
for one of the roster artists for 2009 and 2010
in the program for cultivation of contemporary dance
in public halls by the Japan Foundation for Regional
Art-Activities.
In addition, Kiricollage has also been involved
in choreography for commercials, films and stages.
