One day I was watching a variety show on TV. They were talking about a new underground fad among the baby boomers. They were now retired and starting their own amateur bands. Then something one of the commentators said shocked me. He said it was a disgrace. He said that those retired and aging people were struggling to recapture youth by starting bands and it was a disgrace.
That mad me angry. I didn’t think it was a disgrace. Rather, I thought it was cool. They are over 60 and starting something new for themselves. They want to enjoy youth. I was moved, actually. And this is why I wanted to create a youthful piece with the powerful people in their 60s.
