Fumitsukido was founded by Actress Satoko Mitani in 2007. The group’s motto is to produce "well-made entertainment" for people from a wide range of generations and lifestyles. In addition, they seek to delicately examine complicated interpersonal relationships and fine webs of emotions in our daily life and create dynamic stage directions that can engage audience till the last moment. With these two things in mind, the group aims to produce works that describe a tragicomedy of human relations that could only be saved by other humans despite all the misunderstanding that comes with it. The group is also keenly aware of the uniqueness of live theater and values the fact that theater can be an art of present moment and entertainment at the same time. One day a couple or a family will be excited about going to see a play by Fumitsukido instead of going to see a movie. Fumitsukido hopes to continue to create until such days come!
