Kunio Sugihara founded KUNIO to direct various theatrical projects with a focus on existing plays in 2004. KUNIO is a production company with no specific actors and staff. The company produced “The Pelican” (Written by Radiguet) in June 2004, “Nippon Wars” (Written by Takeshi Kawamura) in December 2006, “The Chairs” (Written by E. Ionesco) in February 2008, “Rent House at 132/A dog must not be chained” (Written by Kunio Kishida) in October 2008, “Labyrinth” (Written by F. Arrabal) in January 2009, and “Angels in America: Millennium Approaches” (By Tony Kushner) in September 2009. In this summit, KUNIO07 will not use an existing play, but for the first time premier a new work conceived by Sugihara.。
